Flickr StripAbout the Teacher / Leader Guide: One of the most profound lessons I've learned is that in a collaborative environment learning exapands and grows in unparalleled ways. And one of my favorite things about photography is that it is a medium of sharing. The best photographers I know don't hoard their knowledge, but rather give it all away. It's in this context that we are grow, evlove, and change. The idea of a teacher / leader guide stems from the value of getting together with others and sharing ideas for the advancement of the individual and for the advancement of the group.

Many of the greatest artists of all times were part of collaborative groups that got together to share and grow. If you're not part of a photographic learning environment, the time to join or create one is now and the teacher / leader guides could help. The guides are based on the workshop assignments found at the end of each chapter. You can use these guides as a teacher in the classroom or simply as a facilitator amongst a group of friends. Either way the goal is to simply spark conversation, exercises and growth.
